How is Trip Planner organized?
Trip Planner stores at the top level Trips. Each trip is made of To do tasks, Contacts, Packing items list and a collection of trip destinations. A trip destination is a segment of you trip that ends in a place you want to stay for a while and do things. You are able to store your traveling details, accommodation, places you would like to visit, to eat and drink and other activities of interest.
I have created a Trip Planner cloud account. How can I upload and download the trips on the cloud? (PRO version)
You need to set your user name (email address) and password in the Trip Planner Settings page. Then you can use the entry page menu buttons: Import Trips and Send on each Trip contextual menu
How many trips can I save on the Cloud? (PRO version)
At this point in time there is a limit of 100 trips per account. Shared trips count only for the destination recipient. YOu could always delete old trips to make room for new ones
Can I encrypt trip data?
This feature is only available in the paid version. Yes, trip data stored on the Cloud can be encrypted. Be aware that if you loose your trip encryption password you will not be able to restore your Cloud saved encrypted trips. We are NOT storing your trip encryption password.
Can I have a common encryption password for all the trips? (PRO version)
Yes, you can store the common encryption password in Settings - Trip Encryption Password. If a password for trip encryption is not set in the Settings you will be prompted for a password each time you want to encrypt a trip.
Can I share a trip with my friends? (PRO version)
Yes, you can but your friends need a valid Trip Planner Cloud account and they will also need to add your account name (email address) to their accepted list of sharing users in Send - Manage Share Users.
Can my friends share a trip with me? (PRO version)
Yes, they can but your friends need a valid Trip Planner Cloud account and you will also need to add your friends account name (email address) to your accepted list of sharing users in Send - Manage Share Users.
I do not want to use the Cloud Service. Can I still share a trip with my friends? (PRO version)
The answer is yes again. You are able to email the Trip to your friends as an attachment. At the other end your friend can save it locally on his/her device and import it using the Import menu option.
